ECG (Electrocardiogram)

This simple noninvasive test is an instantaneous recording of the electrical activity of the heart. It can diagnose or exclude many cardiac conditions. It will typically be the first cardiac investigation ordered when investigating symptoms such as chest discomfort, shortness of breath, reduced exercise ability, palpitations, dizziness or blackouts. An ECG may be performed as a screening test prior to surgery or as part of a pre-employment or insurance assessment.

The ECG test is performed in our diagnostic suite. No special preparation is required. The test is painless and takes about 5 minutes to perform.
