Echocardiography (Cardiac Ultrasound, Echo-Doppler) is a non-invasive diagnostic test utilizing high frequency sound waves to provide structural and functional information about the chambers and valves of the heart and surrounding pericardium.

This test is widely applied to investigate symptoms including shortness of breath, palpitations, dizziness, blackouts, chest pain, and fatigue. Echocardiography is performed to assess the cause of heart murmurs or other abnormalities detected by clinical examination.

The test is performed within our diagnostic suite. It does not require any special preparation, and takes around 45 minutes. The ultrasound used during this test is perfectly safe for all patients including pregnant women.
