12 Lead ECG

A 12-lead ECG is a quick, painless test that records the heart’s electrical activity. It helps detect heart rhythm problems, heart attacks, and other heart conditions.

Why is it Done?

A doctor may order an ECG to check for an irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia), assess chest pain or suspected heart attack, or monitor heart conditions or the effects of medications.

What to Expect

You will lie down, and small sticky pads (electrodes) will be placed on your chest, arms, and legs. Wires connect the electrodes to the ECG machine, which records your heart’s electrical signals. The test takes just 5 minutes and is completely painless.

Is it Safe?

Yes, an ECG is a safe, non-invasive test with no risks.
